God's Green Thumb

Are you one of those people that have a "green thumb"? Do you have the ability to nurture, water and grow things? Or are you like me and have unintentionally killed every plant you have ever had or come into contact with? One of my favorite sayings when it comes to gardening is "I'm just thankful my kids are still alive." I seriously have no skills at gardening. None! No I really mean it! I have literally killed every plant I've ever bought, received or looked after. Luckily, I have an amazing testimony to share with you all.

Readiness

In all of our lives we experience seasons in which we feel paralyzed and unable to move forward into the things that we want to accomplish. We all take on more and more burdens every day through living in this harsh world. The Bible tells us that we should have our "feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." (Ephesians) Readiness means that we have all that we need to move forward with what God has planned for us, but what does it mean to get our readiness from the "gospel of peace?"

I Confess…

When we think of the word confess the one think that comes to mind is a small child coming clean about their mistake. Usually confession has a somewhat unpleasant or terrifying connotation, but confessing can be an intimate and freeing experience between you and your heavenly Father! Confessing is simply the act of relinquishing control or dropping burdens at the foot of the cross.
